2011 pierre peters, les chetillons cuvee speciale blanc de blancs
Why We're Buying
While Pierre Péters has six generations of winemaking tradition, the Champagne house has only skyrocketed in prominence over the last decade. It has captured the attention of critics and investors alike with its ultra-refined and sophisticated cuvées. Les Chetillons Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut is a high point for the estate and among the most coveted blanc de blancs in the world.

Vinous
The Brut Cuvée Spéciale Les Chétillons is quite frankly a revelation. It is also one of the wines of this very challenging vintage. Candied lemon peel, white flowers, sage, mint, tangerine and pastry abound. The savory elements that are typical of the year are nearly buried by the sheer richness and concentration of the fruit. Given the trajectory of so many 2011 Champagnes, I would not push my luck with the 2011 Chétillons, but there is no doubt this is an impressive effort from Rodolphe Péters. Disgorged November 2017.
