2008 piper heidsieck, rare rose

Why We're Buying

Piper Heidsieck Rare Rose is a masterfully crafted blend of 56% pinot noir and 44% chardonnay. The Champagne was the first-ever prestige cuvée rosé from the House of Piper-Heidsieck and spent eight years aging before its release. The estate has only released a few hundred bottles of this ultra-premium Champagne, contributing to its $400+ price tag.

A vibrant Champagne, ballet-slipper pink in color, featuring intense flavors of nectarine, ripe raspberry, grilled nut, espresso and graphite, with a touch of dried sage, all riding the finely detailed mousse. Like a ballerina, this offers power in a graceful form. A beautiful skein of spice unravels on the lasting finish. Drink now through 2033.
