Why We're Buying
While Château Gazing doesn't have an official classification, the estate belongs among the elite producers in Pomerol. Its grand vin coaxes merlot into producing a wide aromatic range and flavor profile. That includes notes of cocoa, red fruit, coffee, vanilla, and tobacco. Wine investors can enjoy a bottle of Château Gazin immediately, but they're best off waiting 15 to 20 years.
Critics Scores
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Gazin has a beautifully fragrant nose of potpourri, chocolate-covered cherries and spiced mulberries with a core of warm plums and cherry cordial plus a waft of wild blueberries. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a firm frame of ripe, rounded tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and earthy. (LPB) 93+
