La Mondotte (Saint-Émilion Grand Cru) is a classic Bordeaux red blend. It's 80 merlot and 20 cabernet franc, with each grape coming from 50-year-old vines. The estate, which ages the blend in 100 new French oak barrels for 18 months, only releases 1,000 cases of wine per year.

The 2022 La Mondotte is complex, vibrant and beautifully layered. Inky dark fruit, graphite, lavender, dried herbs and bittersweet chocolate abound in a Mondotte that impresses with its energy and vibrancy. A very early start to harvest and a pulled back approach in the cellar yielded a Mondotte that is wonderfully dynamic in its presence. 95-97
