Why We're Buying
Château L'If has made its name on Bordeaux red blends that feature 70 merlot and 30 cabernet franc. The estate manages 14 separate parcels in Saint-Émilion, selecting only the finest fruit during harvest. It is part of the reason why investors can only find 1,000 cases of Château L'If each year. Additionally, the price for this red wine rose 42.2 from 2017 to 2021.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Aromas of raspberries, cherries, spices and bay leaf introduce the 2022 L'If, a medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy wine that's taut and vibrant, built around lively acids and fine, chalky tannins. A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the decision to halve the volume of pump-overs have delivered a suave Saint-Émilion, even in this structured vintage. 93-95
