Why We're Buying
Domaine Georges Mugneret Gibourg Vosne-Romanée is everything a Burgundy should be. It's silky, aromatic, and persistent with a seductive aura that makes it hard to put down. The grand vin can credit much of its character to the old vines of La Columbière, Champs Goudins, and Le Pré de la Folie. From 2017 to 2021, this wine returned 83.1 on investment.
Critics Scores
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Village confirms the promise it showed in barrel, wafting from the glass with aromas of cherries, red berries, peonies and sweet soil tones. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and satiny, with succulent acids, melting tannins and a long and perfumed finish. While it's deceptively approachable, long-time followers of this cuvée will know that it will amply reward bottle age with enhanced depth and complexity.
