Why We're Buying
Domaine Leroy Aux Vignerondes is in the top 1 of wine investment returns between 2017 and mid-2021. This pinot noir returned an astonishing 478 in that time and currently retails north of $4,000 per bottle. While these returns aren't sustainable, the demand for Domaine Leroy shows no sign of slowing.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2011 Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru Aux Vignerondes has a pretty bouquet that is initially taciturn, opening with blackberry, cola, a touch of broom and wilted rose petals. The palate is rounded and lithe in the mouth, the oak a little more pronounced at the moment although that will be subsumed with the passing of time. There is a gradual build toward a complete, caressing black cherry and black olive finish, a spicy note on the aftertaste so that you do not forget it in a hurry.
