Why We're Buying
M. Chapoutier Ermitage De l'Oree is the estate’s most popular marsanne wine. The white wine, which features 100 marsanne grapes, is composed only of Hermitage’s finest fruits. The result is an exuberant, nearly tropical offering with an invigorating sorbet-esque finish. Dating back to 1994, wine critic Robert Parker has never given M. Chapoutier Ermitage De l'Oree lower than a 98-point rating.

Green-gold. Sexy tangerine, beeswax, floral honey and brown spice scents. Completely saturates the palate with lush melon, pit and exotic fruit qualities, plus an array of mineral and floral flavors. Even richer on the very long finish. You could drink this now, without shame.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2007 Ermitage Cuvee de l'Oree reveals a light gold color as well as a rich nose of flowers intermixed with honeyed oranges, apricots, quince, and currants. Deep, full-bodied, and multidimensional, it should drink nicely for 30+ years.
