Inky violet. Vibrant red and dark berry aromas are complicated by notes of dried lavender, violet and sandalwood. Palate-staining dark berry flavors show liqueur-like depth and are brightened by a dusty mineral quality. Very rich but also lively, with a strong blast of raspberry and lavender on the long, spicy finish. I really like this wine’s marriage of power and vivacity.
