2018 domaine coquard loison fleurot, charmes-chambertin grand cru
Why We're Buying
Domaine Coquard Loison Fleurot Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is a textbook fine wine. It has a multi-faceted complexion, fine-grained tannins, and a seemingly limitless aging potential. It should come as no surprise that between 2017 and 2021, this red wine more than doubled in price.
The 2018 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru was showing a touch of reduction on the nose, but underneath are fine blackberry and raspberry aromas and touches of potpourri and iodine. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained, supple tannins, superb acidity and a harmonious, silky finish. Excellent. Neal Martin Rating: 92-94 Drink from: 2023-2040
