Why We're Buying

There's no shortage of praise for Domaine Raymond Usseglio Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Wine critic Jeb Dunnuck called the cuvée "a brilliant, brilliant wine," while Joe Czerwinski said, "There is terrific material here, and the wine will drink well for two decades." It's easy to see why this Southern Rhône red blend has become an investor favorite.

Wine Spectator

Lots of mineral, black fruit and firm but ripe tannins. Tastes of old vines; has real grip. Medium-bodied, nothing seductive about it, but the flavors are authentic, and the terroir comes through on the fresh, long finish

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

With complexity in the nose (seaweed, balsam, ripe black cherries, and earth). Expansive and full-bodied, with noticeable tannin in the fabulous finish.
