Why We're Buying
Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux zigs where other wines zag. It’s the only wine from Château Margaux that does not conform to the appellation directives. Defined by prominent sauvignon blanc, this white wine is full, sumptuous, and invigorating. The nearly $300 bottle of wine appreciated 44.3 from 2017 to 2021.

Decanter
Grip and balance with clear flesh to the white peach, pear and citrus fruit and a saline finish. The flavours spiral down through your mouth, anchoring themselves to your palate and holding on, totally moreish and very much in the style of the house, with a kick upwards on the finish. You would be hard pressed to say no to this.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2019 Pavillon Blanc is, as always, made from 100 Sauvignon Blanc. The nose opens with delicate scents of Bosc pears, white peaches and fresh Golden Delicious apples with hints of almonds, lemongrass and chalk dust, plus a waft of jasmine. The light to medium-bodied palate has a crisp backbone supporting the myriad of citrus and stone fruit layers, finishing long and mineral laced.
