Why We're Buying
Dom Pérignon - Michael Riedel Limited Edition Brut Rosé Champagne comes from the partnership of the famous Champagne house and the German contemporary artist. The two combined to form a unique expression of Champagne that serves as a tribute to pinot noir. In 2004, Dom Pérignon and Michael Riedel released the only vintage of this Champagne.
There's power to this vivid rosé Champagne, harnessed by a silky texture and a sense of finesse. Mineral-driven, with a rich, smoky underpinning, this offers an expansive palate of puréed raspberry and apricot preserves, with hints of candied kumquat, marzipan, graphite and star anise. Drink now through 2030.
This is a very fine wine with considerable bottle age. From its orange-pink color to its mature toast and almond flavors, this complex wine is much more than the fruit that has merged with the secondary flavors. Light tannins and a crisp texture are balanced by the softness that comes from the relatively high dosage. The wine, beautifully mature, is ready to drink.
