Why We're Buying
Balance, finesse, and a touch of sweetness are on full display in Pol Roger Brut Vintage. The limited-release Champagne requires three years of aging before it can be disgorged. The result is a classic Champagne with a steadily rising price tag.
Critics Scores
Wine Spectator
Rich with hints of malt bread, golden raisin and honey, but finely balanced by the ample backbone of acidity and chalky texture. Notes of Golden Delicious apple, ground anise and lemon zest chime in and linger on the lengthy, mouthwatering finish.
Wine Enthusiast
The rich Pol Roger style is contrasted here with the natural crisp minerality of a Blanc de Blancs. That gives a great tension, with the tight texture just waiting to round out as the wine ages further. Because it is still a young wine, fresh and just setting out.
