Henriot produces exceptional Champagne styles made using the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape varieties:

  • Brut Souverain: Henriot’s signature wine, the Brut Souverain, boasts a tart green apple flavor with subtle minerality and a very earthy aroma.
  • Demi-sec Champagne: This one’s a subtle and mellow blend of Chardonnay from the Montagne de Reims, with a delicate fruity note and smoky flavor.
  • Brut Rosé: Brut Rose is a pink blend that contains 25% reserve wines, with subtle yet persistent effervescence and a crunchy cherries flavor with citrusy notes.
  • Blanc de Blancs: Blanc de Blancs has a surprising length to it. On the palate, it is fruity, spicy, with a touch of floral effervescence and acidity.
  • Brut Millesime: With fine elegance and a smooth finesse, this one features a blast of fruit notes along with a citrusy freshness and refreshing minerality.
  • Cuvée Hemera: The Cuvee Hemera is perfectly balanced on the palate, with powerful notes of a white flower and leaves and faint vanilla accents.
  • Cuvee 38: Cuvee 38 is a blend of Chouilly, Avize, Oger, and Mesnil-sur-Oger chardonnay, with small portions of Blanc de Blancs. It features a powerful lemon flavor and a smooth brioche palate.

Champagne-Henriot-3.jpg

The Henriot family owns vineyards stretched across 34,000 hectares of land. It also owns the Domaines Henriot Bouchard Père & Fils, William Fèvre and Château de Poncié.

The vineyard primarily consists of three grape varieties — Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.

Henriot ensures that the annual yield is restricted to 13,000 kg/hectare at the most. The entire yield is manually harvested, and only the best of the best is used.

The wines are aged for a minimum of 15 months (nonvintage champagne) and 3 years (vintage champagne.)

A Brief History Of Champagne Henriot

Champagne-Henriot-4.jpg

The Champagne house was founded in 1808 by Apolline Henriot, who was on a mission to sell the family’s private wines to the people.

Henriot went through many setbacks, including destruction caused by the World War. The Champagne house was passed on to Etienne Henriot, who started exporting the wine with great success.

Today, it is in the hands of Thomas Henriot, who serves as the head of the Champagne house.
