Charmes Chambertin Pinot Noir

Charmes Chambertin is the largest Grand Cru in Gevrey Chambertin with nearly 30 hectares of vineyard lands.

The two main Charmes Chambertin vineyards are Charmes Chambertin and Mazoyères Chambertin.

The vineyards are further divided into smaller blocks. The sections towards the north are labeled as Charmes Chambertin Aux Charmes. The sections from the south include the Mazoyères Chambertin vineyard lands, where the wine is also labeled as Charmes Chambertin.

The terroir consists of:

  • Soil: The well-draining soil has stones, pebbles, chalk, a little bit of clay and limestone.
