Why We're Buying

Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz is the highest-priced red wine from the Eden Valley. It doesn't just live up to the hype, though; it exceeds it. No vintage has ever scored lower than a 93-point rating from a major publication, with the 2015 vintage earning a perfect score from critic James Suckling, who called it "a collector's dream."

Amazing aromas of wet aged beef, spices, crushed elderberries, peppercorns and bay leaf. Evolves in the glass all the time. Dynamic wine. Full body and polished, fully integrated tannin to the fruit. Finishes very fresh and vivid. Gorgeous to drink now, but will age wonderfully.

Concentrated and effusive, featuring notes of tar, white truffle, Kalamata olive, chocolate and loamy earth, which give way to chocolate-covered cherry and plum compote flavors and accents of Earl Grey tea and dried lavender. Shows plenty of generosity to the flavors, but also refinement and elegance, with smooth, velvety tannins and a long, expressive finish.
