Why We're Buying
Wine critic Luigi Veronelli wrote, "The land, the land, the land, the land, always, the land." Investing in high-quality land is the best way to produce world-class wine. With Ceretto Barbaresco Bricco Asili, the nebbiolo comes from a single vineyard that the Ceretto family has fostered for three generations. Give the Barbaresco at least five years in the cellar and watch the land reveal the best version of itself.
Critics Scores
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The aromatically complex, medium to full-bodied, dark garnet-colored 1998 Barbaresco Bricco Asili-Bricco Asili offers intense aromas of soy, black cherries, tobacco, spice box, licorice, and incense. With ripe but noticeable tannin and excellent length, this potentially outstanding Barolo needs several more years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2014.
