A Quick Intro To Maison Albert Bichot

Albert Bichot

The family-owned Maison Albert Bichot was established by Bernard Bichot in Burgundy, France, in 1831. It’s currently in the hands of the 6th generation CEO, Albéric Bichot, and technical director, Alain Serveau.

Ever since he joined the winery, Alain Serveau has been crowned by the IWC as the Red Winemaker of the year in 2004 and 2017, and as a White Winemaker of the year in 2011 and 2018.

The Albert Bichot winery primarily focuses on producing red wines from Pinot Noir and white wines from Chardonnay grapes. However, it also produces a few red wine styles from Gamay grapes.

Albert Bichot wines are made using traditional winemaking techniques, which involve fermenting in oak barrels and using natural yeasts.

The winery owns over 100 hectares (247 acres) of sustainably farmed vineyards across its 6 estates. It also sources grapes from over 70 long-term partner growers who are committed to organic viticulture.
