Investing In Mazis Chambertin Wines

Mazis Chambertin wines reveal their delicate, spicy notes with time, in around 10-25 years. Owing to this charming revelation, the wines have garnered high praise and scores from critics.

For example:

Now let’s take a closer look at this exemplary vineyard and its longstanding winemaking practices.

Mazis Chambertin: Vineyards and Winemaking

Mazis Chambertin stretches across 9.1 hectares of land in the Gevrey Chambertin appellation of Côte de Nuits. Most vine plantations in this vineyard are dedicated to Pinot Noir.

The vineyard is split into two parcels - Les Mazis Hauts and Les Mazis Bas.

The vine plantations blossom on chalky, limestone-rich soils. The well-balanced, continental climate helps the grapes ripen adequately while maintaining the perfect acidity.

The grapes are manually harvested and then punched down to release juice and aromas. The juice is then shifted to open vats for fermentation.

In the next stage of production, the wines are aged for around 10-18 months (duration varies depending upon the wine producer) in French oak barrels.

Mazis Chambertin wines emulate the winemaking practices that distinguish Burgundy wines produced in the Côte de Nuits, Cote d’Or, and Côte Chalonnaise regions.
