The Saracco winery — located in the Castiglione Tinella wine town of Piedmont, Italy — was founded by Luigi Saracco.

Initially, the Saracco family produced Moscato as a base for Vermouth. But in the late 20th century, Luigi’s son, Giovanni, modified the production process to make Moscato attractive to Castiglione Tinella appellation’s wine market.

Giovanni's son, the winemaker Paolo Saracco, took things further by experimenting with new winemaking techniques and modern vineyard management.

In 1988, Paolo Saracco launched the exquisite Saracco Moscato d'Asti label, an aromatic wine made with the exotic Muscat grape under strict control and careful vineyard management.

Soon enough, the winery gained global prominence and made a name in the United States wine market.

Spread over famous wine towns like Santo Stefano Belbo, Castagnole Lanze, Calosso, and Castiglione Tinella comunes, the Saracco familys vineyards boast an exceptional terroir

The soil is layered with sand, limestone, and silt — which perfectly enhance the aromas of the Moscato grape variety. This soil, combined with the microclimate and altitude of the region, lends a unique flavor to the Saracco Moscato d'Asti wines.

The harvested grapes are pressed to extract juice, stored in stainless steel containers. This juice is then fermented, microfiltered, and bottled.
