Why We're Buying
Château d'Issan Margaux makes four wines, and none are more investment-worthy than its eponymous red blend. The flagship wine features cabernet sauvignon and merlot grown in clay subsoil for optimal freshness and vivaciousness. The result is the sixth most expensive wine in Margaux, according to Wine-Searcher.com.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A complete, medium to full-bodied, A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. The deep, gravelly soils mixed with clay have provided extraordinary aromatics of spring flowers, blueberries and black raspberries as well as hints of cassis, tar and charcoal. The wine is gorgeously pure, well-balanced.
