2017 henri magnien, gevrey-chambertin premier cru, lavaut saint-jacques
Why We're Buying
Domaine Henri Magnien Lavaux Saint-Jacques continues the long tradition of exceptional pinot noir from Gevrey-Chambertin. The premier cru wine has uncommon focus, with clear intensity and a refined finish. Any investors holding this pinot noir in their portfolio should cellar it for at least a decade.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St Jacques wafts from the glass with a complex bouquet of cassis, cherries, licorice, rose petal, wood smoke and spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered with a textural attack, excellent concentration, rich structural tannins and a long, fragrant finish. It's another high point in the range.
