2009 joseph drouhin, griotte-chambertin grand cru
Why We're Buying
Joseph Drouhin Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru is one of a dozen or so wines from the estate that retails well over $450. The highly sought-after pinot noir is a complex yet subtle harmony of cherry liqueur, fine leather, and spice. It also returned 41.1% from 2017 to 2021.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2009 Griotte-Chambertin is beautiful, elegant and totally weightless. This shows gorgeous subtlety and inner juiciness through to the nuanced finish. Griottes, spices and flowers linger on the close. My sense is this is holding a lot back in reserve at the moment. The Griotte-Chambertin is made from estate fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029.
