Why We're Buying
Bollinger Rosé Vintage is one of the latest additions to the estate's repertoire. The salmon-colored wine features 72 pinot noir and 28 chardonnay, with the fruits coming exclusively from seven grand cru and premier cru sites. A small amount of still red wine helps to add color, depth, and texture to this already rich and complex rosé. Bollinger launched this limited-edition wine in 2006 to widespread acclaim that hasn't died down since.

Vinous
Orange-pink with a delicate bead. Musky orchard fruits, red berries and herbs on the nose, plus a subtle smoky quality. Tangy redcurrant and strawberry flavors are tightly wound and given a bitter touch by anise and cherry pit notes. Youthfully unyielding, with strong finishing grip and a persistent echo of cherry pit. I'd give this some bottle age.
