2019 chateau de saint cosme, gigondas, le claux
Why We're Buying
Batman and Robin. Jordan and Pippen. Homonis Fidis and Le Claux. While Hominis Fides is the star at Château de Saint Cosme, Le Claux is no slouch. Wine critic Jeb Dunnuck described the 2017 vintage as "just about perfection in a glass."
Also all Grenache from a single vineyard just down from the estate, the 2019 Gigondas Le Claux offers more minerality as well as structure and is another 2019 that’s going to benefit from bottle age. A complex bouquet of redcurrants, loamy soil and dried garrigue, camphor, and licorice emerges from the glass, and this beauty has building tannins, flawless balance and a great, great finish.
