Why We're Buying
Perfection is par for the course at M. Chapoutier. The estate has earned a record 45 perfect scores from wine critic Robert Parker. Le Clos continues the tradition of excellence with a robust concentration and massive body. While it's impressive in youth, you can safely age this gem for ten to 15 years.

More elegant, the 2019 Saint Joseph Le Clos has an incredibly granite nose of cassis, leather, ground pepper, and powdered rock. Tasting like a Hermitage from Bessards, it’s medium to full-bodied, has remarkable purity, fine tannins, and a seamless mouthfeel. I suspect the acidity is quite low, but this has a great sense of freshness as well as length.
