The 2017 Rothwell Hyde is an attractive wine to drink over the near and medium term. In the best year, Rothwell Hyde can approach the single-vineyard wines, but in 2017 the gap is pretty wide, as is to be expected in a vintage with significant challenges. Readers will find a mid-weight Cabernet laced with pretty red/purplish fruit lifted by floral overtones. (AG)
