This isn't quite as floral as the Amoureuses but it's even spicier with its purple fruit, tea, earth and violet-scented nose. The textured and velvety broad-shouldered flavors also enjoy stunningly good concentration and power while displaying an almost pungent minerality on the powerful and borderline painfully intense finish that just goes on and on. This is the epitome of power without weight as it packs a massive punch yet seems completely effortless while doing so. Note well however that this is going to require many years in a cool cellar.
