The 2014 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru has the most extrovert bouquet compared to the Chapelle and Mazis-Chambertin: kirsch, allspice, a touch of fennel and iodine that soar from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple red berry fruit, well-judged acidity, compact and tight with a muscular finish that needs to evolve the complexity demonstrated by the aromatics. 91+ points
